Meet Jason
Putting his city management experience to work for Frankfort, Jason Forsythe announces his intent to run for Mayor of Frankfort, Indiana in the upcoming May 2027 Primary as a Republican candidate. Forsythe is committed to bringing new businesses to The Gem City, growing existing economic opportunities and enhancing the quality of life for its residents. In year two as the Director of Public Works in Whitestown, Indiana, Forsythe oversees the Street Department, Wastewater Department, Inspection Team and Facilities Maintenance Team. In Whitestown he has established cross-functional safety committees for accountability, managed the water sale transition for residents, implemented plow tracking technology to improve operations, and added weather cameras to support real-time decision making. Forsythe works hand in hand with city, county and state leaders to serve the overall economic growth of Whitestown.
Prior to becoming the Director of Public Works, Forsythe served Frankfort as the Street Department Superintendent for ten years. While serving as the Street Department Superintendent, he garnered over $13M in Federal Funding/LPA Grants, reached almost $2M in Community Crossing Matching Grant dollars, spearheaded Safe Routes to Schools, automated trash pickup, worked with INDOT on numerous projects, worked with Purdue University on LTAP training for the department among other notable accomplishments. He answered the call to serve three times as the Interim Frankfort Parks Superintendent. In 2023 Forsythe vetted numerous companies and partners in overseeing the final budget and construction of Sapphire Bay Aquatic Center for the city located at the TPA Park.

We can attract new corporations to the Gem City, create new jobs and ensure our residents enjoy a vibrant quality of life.”
Forsythe and his wife Wanda have two sons, Tanner and Gehrig and a granddaughter, Bayler, along with their golden retriever puppy, Sampson.
Next year’s primary election is Tuesday, May 4, 2027!
